Life Members: your profile is ready — just set your password

Many GEB alumni became Life Members of the association before this website existed, for example by applying through the association's Google Form and paying offline. Instead of asking them to register again, the association has pre-created their profiles on the new website. Each Life Member can now claim their profile in a couple of minutes.

You have already paid

Your Life Membership fee is recorded as a paid offline payment, your membership is active and lifetime, and nothing on the site will ask you to pay or register again.

How to claim your profile

1. Look for an email with the subject "Your GEBAA Life Member account is ready — just set your password", sent to the address you gave on the membership form.
2. Click "Set my password". The page greets you by name and shows your Membership ID and the details we already have.
3. Choose your password, keep or change the suggested username, accept the terms and click "Activate my account".
4. You are logged in straight away and taken to your account, where a short checklist helps you complete your profile.

Nobody else ever sets, sees or sends your password — you choose it yourself.

If something goes wrong

• Link expired or already used? The page offers an "Email me a new link" button — one click, nothing to type.
• Lost the email? Go to the claim page (/claim), type your email address and a fresh link will be sent.
• Tried to log in first, or used "Forgot password?"? The site recognises that your profile is waiting and sends you the activation link instead.
• Cannot receive email at all? Contact the association: an administrator can create a shareable link and send it to you another way, for example on WhatsApp.

Claim links expire after 14 days and work only once. For security, the website stores only a scrambled (hashed) version of each link, so the links cannot be misused even if someone saw the database.

Complete your profile

Once you are in, take a few minutes to add a profile photo, your current job title and organisation, where you live now, your GEB session and batch, your work experience, a professional link such as LinkedIn or ORCID, and your skills or research interests. A progress ring on your account page shows what is left, and every item links straight to the form that completes it.

What is public

All member profiles are listed in the public Alumni Directory — that is how batchmates and colleagues find each other. Your phone number, address, NID or passport number and SUST registration number are never shown publicly, and the claim page itself never displays your NID, address or full phone number.

If you are a Life Member and have not received an email, use the claim page to request a link or contact the association through the Contact page.
