These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the GEB Alumni Association, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) (GEBAA) website and your application for and payment of GEB Alumni Association membership fees. By registering an account, applying for membership, or making a payment through this website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About GEB Alumni Association

GEB Alumni Association, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) (GEBAA) is the alumni association of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEB) at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). It is a voluntary, informal alumni association run by and for graduates of the department. It is not a registered company and does not hold a trade license, TIN, or BIN — it operates as an informal, non-profit alumni body organized around the department, and this website is a member-services platform for that association, not a commercial enterprise.

2. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to graduates (and, where noted, other eligible supporters) of the GEB department at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Submitting a registration form constitutes your declaration that the information you provide is accurate and that you agree to abide by the GEB Alumni Association constitution as it applies to members.

3. Membership Fees & Payment

GEB Alumni Association offers several membership tiers, each with its own one-time or recurring fee, as shown on the registration page. Payments are processed online through SSLCommerz, a licensed third-party payment gateway. Your account is created in a “pending” state and is only activated once your payment has been confirmed as successful.

4. Refunds

Membership fees are, as a general rule, non-refundable once paid — see our Refund Policy for the limited exceptions (such as a duplicate or clearly erroneous charge).

5. User Accounts & Conduct

• You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your profile reasonably up to date.
• You agree not to use the forum, blog, job board, or gallery features to post unlawful, defamatory, or abusive content.
• GEB Alumni Association reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or the GEB Alumni Association constitution.

6. Content You Submit

Blog posts, forum posts, job listings, gallery images, and profile information (education, publications, awards, experience) that you submit remain associated with your account. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you post, and you grant GEB Alumni Association a non-exclusive license to display it on this website for the purpose of running the alumni platform.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
