The new Opportunities board replaces the old job board. It brings scholarships, funded Master's and PhD positions, fellowships, internships, postdocs, jobs, grants and training programmes together, with filters and clear deadlines.

Helping graduates take their next step has always been part of the association's work. The website's Opportunities board now collects the openings that matter most to GEB alumni and students in one searchable place, and it replaces the earlier job board — old job links now lead to the Opportunities page.

The board is open to GEB alumni and the wider life-sciences community.
Find the right opening quickly
Search by title, organisation or country, then narrow the list by opportunity type, academic field, degree level, funding type and location type. Results can be sorted by the soonest deadline, the newest additions or the most recently updated.
When no filter is applied, the page highlights featured opportunities, openings that are closing soon, and those that were recently added. Closed opportunities move to an archive, where they stay available for reference.
Deadlines you can trust
Every deadline is stored as an exact moment in time, together with the time zone the provider uses, so an opportunity does not disappear hours too early because of a time-zone difference. Always confirm the details on the provider's official page before you apply.
Before you apply
- Read the eligibility criteria carefully, including degree, nationality and language requirements.
- Note the deadline and its time zone, and aim to submit a few days early.
- Prepare your CV, transcripts and the contact details of your referees in advance.
- Check whether you are expected to contact a potential supervisor before applying.

Every submission is reviewed by an administrator before it appears on the site — nothing is published automatically — and your email address is never shown publicly.

Opportunities are added over time, so it is worth checking the board regularly, especially during application seasons. Complete your member profile too: when alumni and recruiters can see your field, skills and experience, it becomes easier for the right people to reach you.
