Welcome to the new GEB Alumni Association website

The GEB Alumni Association (GEBAA) of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has a new website. It replaces the association's earlier site at the same address, gebaa-sust.org, and brings everything members need into one place — from joining the association to finding the next step in their careers.

Our mission has not changed: to connect GEB graduates across generations, support students and early-career alumni through mentorship and career guidance, and contribute to the growth of the GEB Department at SUST. The new website is simply a better tool for doing that.

What you can do on the site

• Join the association online. Choose General, Life or Donor membership, pay securely through SSLCommerz, and your membership activates automatically as soon as the payment is confirmed.
• Build your profile. Add your photo, GEB session and batch, education, work experience, publications, awards, skills, research interests and professional links, and upload your CV.
• Find each other. Member profiles are listed in the public Alumni Directory, so batchmates and colleagues can search for you by name and filter by degree, country or city.
• Discover opportunities. The Opportunities board collects scholarships, funded Master's and PhD positions, fellowships, internships, postdocs, jobs, grants and training programmes.
• Take part in events. Upcoming and past events, reunions and seminars have their own pages.
• Share and discuss. Write for the Blogs section, start a conversation in the Forum, and browse photo albums in the Gallery.
• Support the association. Anyone can donate online — once, or on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly plan.

Privacy by design

Profiles in the Alumni Directory are public, because the directory exists so that alumni can find one another. Sensitive details are never shown publicly: phone numbers, addresses, NID or passport numbers and SUST registration numbers stay private to you and the association's administrators.

Important announcements appear on the Notice Board, and association updates like this one are published here in the News section. Practical guides and reflections from the community appear on the Blog.

Get started

If you are a GEB graduate of SUST and have not joined yet, visit the Membership page to see the tiers and eligibility, then create your account. Life Members who joined before the website existed do not need to register again — their profiles have already been created and can be claimed with a one-time link.

If something does not work as expected, or you have an idea that would make the site more useful, please get in touch through the Contact page. The website will keep improving, and your feedback helps decide what comes next.
