Biochemical Society General Travel Grants – 2 November 2026 Round

Overview

Travel support for Biochemical Society members to present work at conferences or attend training in the molecular biosciences. The next deadline is 2 November 2026 for events after 1 December 2026; later rounds close in March, June and September. Note the 12-month membership requirement.

Eligibility

Postgraduate, Early Career, Full or Emeritus members of the Biochemical Society with at least 12 months' membership before the deadline (6 months for multiyear members); must present an abstract; not funded in consecutive years. Worldwide applicants accepted except sanctioned jurisdictions.

Nationality: Open to all nationalities (society members)

Funding & Benefits

Up to GBP 500 for national and up to GBP 1,000 for international conferences or training events, covering travel and event-night accommodation (not visas, insurance or meals).
