Overview
Oxford's flagship graduate scholarship scheme funds fees and living costs for highly competitive DPhil and Master's applicants of any nationality. Candidates are considered automatically if they apply to their Oxford course by its December or January 2026/27 deadline; life-science DPhils typically close on 1 December 2026 at noon UK time.
Eligibility
No restrictions on nationality, residence or subject; full-time and part-time DPhil and Master's courses eligible; awarded on outstanding academic merit and potential. No separate application: apply to an Oxford graduate course by its December or January deadline (for many life-science DPhils, e.g. Biochemistry and Clinical Medicine, 1 December 2026 at 12:00 UK time).
Nationality: Open to all nationalities
Funding & Benefits
Covers course fees in full and provides a grant for living expenses for the duration of the fee liability; over 200 new scholarships awarded annually.
