Overview
Travel funding for PhD students and postdocs to visit a collaborating laboratory to learn techniques or carry out collaborative experiments. The next deadline is 23 October 2026, for visits starting after 7 December 2026. Applicants choose one of the three journals (Development, JCS or JEB) per round.
Eligibility
Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in fields covered by Development, Journal of Cell Science or Journal of Experimental Biology; one applicant per lab per round per journal; letters from department head, supervisor and host lab required. No nationality restriction (except sanctioned jurisdictions).
Nationality: Open to all nationalities
Funding & Benefits
Up to GBP 3,000 per fellowship towards travel and living costs for a research visit to another laboratory.
