Overview
EMBL's interdisciplinary postdoctoral programme funds three-year projects spanning its 'Molecules to Ecosystems' themes (molecular mechanisms, human health, planetary ecosystems, AI and theory) across EMBL's six sites. Applications open on 25 November 2026 and close on 1 February 2027, with interviews on 8-9 April 2027.
Eligibility
PhD awarded by 1 February 2027; at most eight years of post-PhD research experience; no more than 12 months' prior association with EMBL in the last 3 years; interdisciplinary project with an EMBL host and a partner in an EMBL member or associate member state.
Nationality: Open to all nationalities
Funding & Benefits
Three-year fully funded EMBL fellowship contract (salary per EMBL 2026 postdoctoral fellowship rates) with social security, family allowances and travel support for partner-lab visits.
