Overview
Twelve-day EMBO Practical Course at HCMR, Crete (9-20 May 2027) on phylogenetics and molecular evolution: alignment, tree inference, selection detection and coalescent analysis, taught by tool developers. Applications close 2 November 2026.
Eligibility
Advanced graduate and postgraduate trainees, preferably early-to-mid PhD candidates with their own sequence datasets, some phylogenetics experience and Linux skills; acceptance rate below 20%.

Fees EUR 550 (academic) or EUR 1,000 (industry), EUR 75 for local students; non-local fees include accommodation and meals. Travel, childcare and accessibility grants available.
