Overview
Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar offers tuition waivers and monthly stipends to international graduate students, including in its College of Health and Life Sciences (e.g. PhD in Genomics and Precision Medicine). For Fall 2027 entry, online applications open 1 October 2026 and the international applicant deadline is 1 February 2027.
Eligibility
Admission to an HBKU graduate programme (e.g. PhD in Genomics and Precision Medicine: bachelor's with GPA 3.0+, science background with biological/medical coursework, IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 79, research experience preferred). Full-time working professionals are ineligible for stipends.
Nationality: Open to international applicants of all nationalities
Funding & Benefits
International PhD students: 100% tuition waiver and QAR 9,000/month stipend; international master's students: 60-75% tuition waiver and QAR 7,000/month stipend; one round-trip airfare. Housing is paid by the student from the stipend. Awards are merit/need-based and subject to availability.
