Overview

Five-day ICGEB workshop in Selangor, Malaysia (15-19 February 2027) giving hands-on training in microbiome data science with R/Bioconductor - assembly, taxonomy, diversity, differential abundance and machine learning - plus a research forum. Application deadline 15 January 2027.

Eligibility

Researchers, educators and postgraduate students with beginner-to-intermediate R/Bioconductor skills and basic metagenomics knowledge; preference for those teaching or researching microbiomes. ICGEB grants restricted to Member State nationals (Bangladesh is a Member State).

Nationality: Open to all; ICGEB grants for ICGEB Member State nationals incl. Bangladesh

Funding & Benefits

Fee EUR 500 (EUR 250 for participants from low and upper-middle income countries), incl. meals and materials. Limited ICGEB grants for students/young scientists from ICGEB Member States covering accommodation, fee waiver and meals.
