Overview
ICRISAT hosts interns (6 weeks-3 months), Master's (3-6 months) and PhD researchers (6 months-3 years) and research fellows at its Hyderabad headquarters, working with scientists on crop genomics, breeding, biotechnology and agri-systems. Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed three times a year (March, June, September).
Eligibility
Students enrolled at a recognised institution (Bachelor's for internships, Master's for MSc research, PhD candidates for doctoral research) or recent graduates, who have completed coursework and are free of classes during the stay. Apply at least 45 days before intended start.
Nationality: Open to all nationalities
Funding & Benefits
Self-funded in general: USD 20 application fee for international applicants plus bench fees (about USD 100-150 initially plus monthly charges); 50% concession for students from low-income countries. Food, housing and travel not covered; limited scholarships for deserving candidates.
