Imperial College President's PhD Scholarships 2027-28

Overview

Imperial's flagship doctoral scholarship funds 50 outstanding PhD candidates across all departments, including life sciences and medicine. There are three application cycles: apply by 2 November 2026, 11 January 2027 or 1 March 2027, with decisions by 31 January, 15 April and 31 May 2027 respectively.

Eligibility

Any nationality; first-class undergraduate/integrated master's or distinction in a standalone master's (exceptions possible); must secure a supervisor and apply through Imperial's doctoral admissions system; current Imperial PhD students ineligible. Start between 1 August and 1 November 2027.

Funding & Benefits

Full tuition fees, stipend of GBP 27,036/year (2027-28 rate) and GBP 2,000/year consumables for the first 3 years; 3.5-year award; 50 scholarships.
