Overview

Paid research internships of 2 months to 1 year in ISTA research groups near Vienna, including life-science labs. There is no central deadline: applications are accepted continuously after agreeing a project with a group leader. (The separate ISTernship summer programme is paused for 2026 and 2027.)

Eligibility

Current or completed bachelor's or master's in natural or computer sciences, mathematics or related fields; at least 2 months availability; strong English. Contact the target group leader first; register on the portal at least 2 months before the intended start.

Nationality: Open to all nationalities

Funding & Benefits

Employment contract with a minimum salary of EUR 1,583 gross/month; no application fee.
