IUBMB Wood-Whelan Research Fellowships – March 2027 Deadline

Overview

Short-term fellowships for trainee and early-career biochemists to carry out research in a laboratory other than their own. Deadlines are 15 March (travel July–December) and 15 September (travel January–June); the next is 15 March 2027, 11:59 pm Pacific time.

Eligibility

Junior biochemists and molecular biologists resident in IUBMB member countries, enrolled in a PhD or within 5 years post-PhD; previous IUBMB awardees ineligible; applications must be approved before the stay begins.

Nationality: Residents of IUBMB member countries (check that your country's adhering body is a member)

Funding & Benefits

Up to USD 7,000 covering economy airfare, incidental travel expenses and living expenses for a 1–4 month research stay; insurance and lab expenses not covered.
