JCU offers competitive research scholarships for international PhD and MPhil candidates, with strengths in tropical health, medicine, marine and environmental sciences. The next round closes 1 February 2027 for July 2027 commencement, with offers expected around 3 May 2027.
Eligibility
International candidates meeting JCU English Band 2 requirements, minimum HDR admission qualifications and scholarship conditions.

Funding & Benefits
International RTP Scholarship: living stipend A$37,500/year (2027), tuition and single overseas health cover for 3.5 years (PhD) or 2 years (MPhil). Postgraduate Research Scholarship: same stipend plus tuition. AIMS@JCU adds A$7,500/year.
