Overview

Travel grants that help new group leaders in comparative animal physiology or biomechanics start a research partnership by visiting a collaborator's lab and developing joint grant proposals. The next deadline is 27 November 2026 for travel after 4 January 2027.

Eligibility

Junior faculty (lecturer, assistant professor, group leader/PI) within seven years of their first independent position, working in experimental biology focused on animal comparative physiology or biomechanics.

Nationality: Open to all nationalities (except sanctioned jurisdictions)

Funding & Benefits

Up to GBP 3,000 covering travel to the collaborator's institution plus accommodation and subsistence during the visit.
