Overview

Centralised recruitment call through which many Max Planck Institutes advertise three-year postdoctoral positions across the life, natural and social sciences, including biology and biomedicine. The autumn 2026 call opened on 1 September and closes on 13 October 2026 at 12:00 CEST; applicants can apply to several positions at once.

Eligibility

PhD holders applying to one or more advertised postdoctoral positions at Max Planck Institutes; application in English with cover letter, CV, research summary and statement of interest via the programme portal.

Nationality: Open to all nationalities

Funding & Benefits

Employment contract paid on the German public-sector TVöD scale with a guaranteed duration of at least three years; mentoring, career workshops, Planck Academy training and relocation/family support.
