Max Planck School Matter to Life – Integrated Master's/PhD Program, 2027 Intake

Overview

Five-year integrated Master's/PhD programme on the physics, chemistry and biology of living matter, with research across 80+ faculty labs in German universities and Max Planck Institutes. Applications for the 2027 intake run from 1 September to 1 December 2026.

Eligibility

Excellent Bachelor's graduates from anywhere in the world in natural sciences or engineering; programme taught entirely in English.

Nationality: Open to all nationalities

Funding & Benefits

Stipend during the two-year Master's phase and a working contract during the three-year PhD phase; no tuition fees.
