Overview

MedUni Vienna's structured PhD programme recruits doctoral researchers for open funded projects across its biomedical PhD tracks. The autumn call opens 5 October 2026 and closes 22 November 2026 at 23:55 CET, with interviews on 9-11 December 2026.

Eligibility

Master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field; open to international applicants from all scientific backgrounds; admission requires supervisor commitment; English-taught programme of minimum three years (180 ECTS).

Funding & Benefits

Salaried PhD positions employed under the Austrian collective agreement for university employees (14 salary payments a year, 25 days' paid leave); visa support and subsidised temporary housing via HANS-Y.
