A*STAR sends top Singaporean students to leading overseas institutions for PhD study in fields including biomedical research, bioinformatics and infectious diseases, with a mandatory A*STAR research attachment and a post-PhD service bond.

Singaporean citizens or intending citizens (must obtain PR before study); good honours degree; final-year undergraduates; must apply to top overseas PhD programmes in fields including biomedical research, bioinformatics and infectious diseases.
