NTU Research Scholarship – PhD/Master's by Research, August 2027 Intake (School of Biological Sciences)

Overview

NTU's research scholarship funds international students admitted to its PhD and research master's programmes, including the School of Biological Sciences. For the August 2027 intake the application portal opens 1 October 2026 and closes 31 January 2027 (some non-science schools close 15 November).

Eligibility

Full-time graduate research students (local or international) with at least Honours (Distinction) or equivalent; international scholars must do teaching/lab supervision under the Graduate Assistantship Programme. Indicate scholarship interest in the admission application.

Nationality: Open to all nationalities

Funding & Benefits

Full tuition fee coverage plus monthly stipend (from January 2026) of S$3,000 for international PhD students (S$2,900 for Master's), with up to S$500/month more after the PhD Qualifying Exam; up to 4 years (PhD) or 2 years (Master's); no bond.
