Overview
Swiss government scholarships for early-career researchers to do a PhD (up to 36 months) or a 6-12 month research stay at a Swiss university or research institute, starting 1 September 2027. Bangladeshi applicants submit via the GO ESKAS portal and the Swiss Embassy in Dhaka; the Bangladesh deadline is 30 October 2026, 23:59 Swiss time.
Eligibility
Master's degree completed by 31 July 2027 (30 June for ETH Zurich); born after 31 December 1991; detailed research plan; letter of support from a Swiss university/research-institute supervisor; two academic references. Bangladesh is eligible for the Research Fellowship and PhD categories.
Nationality: Nationals of ~180 listed countries incl. Bangladesh
Funding & Benefits
Monthly stipend of CHF 2,450, health insurance (non-EU/EFTA), one-time CHF 600 housing deposit grant, half-fare travel card and return flight allowance; tuition, conference and fieldwork costs are not covered.
