Overview
Auckland's main doctoral scholarship funds PhD candidates across all faculties, including biological sciences, medical and health sciences and bioengineering. Complete a doctoral admission application by the round closing date; the next rounds close 1 November 2026 and 1 February 2027.
Eligibility
International and domestic doctoral applicants are considered automatically when applying for admission to a doctoral programme; no separate scholarship application. Awarded in four rounds (1 Nov, 1 Feb, 1 May, 1 Aug).

Funding & Benefits
Tax-free stipend of up to NZD 35,468/year (CPI-adjusted), tuition fees (for international doctoral students meeting the domestic-fees policy) and compulsory student health insurance, for up to 42 months.
