Overview

The University of Helsinki awards competitive 50% and 100% tuition fee waivers to fee-paying students admitted to its 30+ English-taught master's programmes, including life science programmes. The application period for the autumn 2027 intake runs 5–19 January 2027.

Eligibility

Non-EU/EEA applicants liable for tuition fees who qualify for a Helsinki master's programme and have excellent previous academic results; the waiver is requested on the same form as the programme application.

Nationality: Non-EU/EEA citizens incl. Bangladesh

Funding & Benefits

50% or 100% tuition fee waivers for the two-year master's (tuition fees EUR 13,000-18,000/year); living costs not covered.
