Overview

International life-science PhD programme run jointly by the institutes of the Vienna BioCenter (IMP, IMBA, GMI, Max Perutz Labs), covering areas from molecular mechanisms and genome biology to cell and developmental biology. The Autumn Call 2026 opened on 1 September and closes on 15 October 2026 (23:59 CET); PhD start is flexible, by 1 June 2027 at the latest.

Funding & Benefits
